In Situ Treatments
Contaminants are extracted from subsoil and groundwater through a strategically distributed well system. They are then treated with Litoclean designed systems at the same site, without the need to send them to a waste management plant or stop activity.
An optimum distribution of wells is the basis of good remediation. Their number and distribution must be calculated by taking into account the characteristics of the subsoil and the technique to be applied. Therefore, the projects executed by Litoclean in situ start with extraction tests, where the permeability of the land is analyzed and the area of influence of each well is determined.
Litoclean has two decades’ experience in applying the most efficient technologies, enabling the company’s experts to choose the one that best responds to the contaminant, soil type, site characteristics and remediation goals.
In situ remediation projects carried out by Litoclean teams include measures that contribute to save resources and the sustainability of the ecosystem, such as the reuse of groundwater treated for industrial use or for reinjection into the subsoil.
High vacuum dual phase extraction
System appropriate in low permeability subsoil or other singular applications.
Vacuum extraction of volatiles
Vacuum extraction is applied in the unsaturated area of the subsoil, that is, at contaminated levels that do not contain groundwater.
Water pumping and treatment
A partir del conocimiento de las características hidrogeológicas del acuífero a remediar, extracción del agua subterránea y posterior tratamiento por: Stripping, Absorción, Decantación, Floculación, Oxidación.
Injection of surfactants
Tensioactives enable organic substances not soluble in water to be solubilised, in order to facilitate their subsequent extraction via pumping and external treatment.
Bioremediation
The action of microorganisms is leveraged for the degradation of detected contaminants by supplying nutrients and optimal environmental conditions for their development.
